Getting Started: Coltopia

Coltopia spawn — Spawn. When you join, look for the big tree and follow the path for rewards!

Coltopia is a small, whitelisted All The Mons server with a focus on Cobblemon. To add to the experience, we run our own mods: tournaments, player-held gyms, a token economy, and a lot more. This guide will help acquaint you with playing on our server, even if you're new to modded Minecraft!

Whitelist. You need to apply here on the site before the server will let you in. Approval is automatic and takes only a few moments.

Before you log in

Apply. Fill in the application with your Minecraft name. You are whitelisted immediately, welcome!
Install the pack. Search for "All The Mons" in the CurseForge app and install the newest version (server is currently on version 1.3.0). The server updates about 1-3 days behind the modpack, so keep an eye out in Discord for update announcements.
Connect. Add a server with the address atm.coltopia.com. The first time you join will send you our resource pack; accept it, or the custom icons and menus will show up as blank squares.

Give the pack a minute on the first launch. It's a big one, and the loading screen may briefly pause before you land on the main menu.

Hello world!

Welcome to spawn! Underneath the large tree near the spawnpoint is the New Player Area. Go through and read the signs to get some starter gear - no punching trees necessary!

Spawn City is protected. You cannot build or break blocks there, and mobs won't spawn.

A few things to do while you are here:

Collect starter loot by grabbing premier balls around spawn. Each can be opened once per day.
Visit NPC or player shops - Lots of good deals on Pokemon and items!
Activate the waystones. Travel between waystones is free on this server.

Once you leave the city, the world awaits! Team up, or go solo and find a nice place to start your empire. The /rtp command will teleport you to a random place if you don't want to build near spawn.

Link your account

It is recommended to link your account early on. Linking will increase your daily income and earn you additional land claims.

Link Minecraft. Your account page shows a code. In game, type /link followed by that code. That is worth 50 coltokens every day!
Link Discord. Join our Discord server and link your account for an additional 50 coltokens daily! Linking both will grant you a Discord and in-game rank that gives increased land claims.

The daily bonus is paid on your first login of the day. If you have not linked yet, the server will remind you in chat now and then until you do.

Coltokens

Coltokens are the server currency. You can store them in your wallet or hold them in your inventory as items.

EarnDaily link bonus, tournament entry, gym wins, loot balls, and selling in spawn.

SpendGTS, the gallery, renting a plot in spawn, gym entry fees, buying in spawn, and more!

Common Commands

/sethomeSets the spot you're standing as your home, use /home to get back here at any time! Donors get additional /sethomes to use!

/backReturns you to where you were before your last teleport, or where you died

/rtpTeleports you to a random spot out in the wild, away from everyone

/challengeChallenges a player to a Pokemon battle: /challenge Bob is plain singles. Add rule tags after the name, like doubles, ubers, tera or megas, and wager 100 to put coltokens on it

/pvp challengeChallenges a player to a PVP duel in the arena, with an optional coltoken wager: /pvp challenge Bob 50

Claiming land

Land protection uses FTB Chunks. To claim, open the map, click the chunks you want, and they are yours; nobody else can build or open containers inside them and they will be protected from explosions. Regular members can hold up to 150 chunks, Trusted players 1,000. Force-loading, which keeps your farms running while you are away, is capped separately and only works while you are online.

Claims are per team. If you play with friends, one of you creates a team, and all of you share the same claims.

Things to do in Coltopia

We recommend progressing the modpack first, most of our custom plugins are supplementary to this or meant for endgame. Check out Getting Started in All The Mons if you need help.

	Challenger Gym	Players can hold this gym and accept challenges. Successfully defending the gym earns rewards!
	Super Gym Rush	SGR is an endgame hyper gym challenge with great rewards! Start challenging it once you beat the ATM series trainers.
	Tournaments	Compete against other players in various formats every Wednesday and Saturday. All participants get rewards!
	Market Street	Rent a stall in spawn and open a store or build whatever you want.
	Safari Zone	Use any waystone to enter the Safari Zone at any time. Look out for notifications about Catch Events, which have massively boosted spawns!
	GTS and Wondertrade	Trade Pokemon with other players, or roll the dice on a random one.

FAQ

Do I need to join the Discord? No, but it is recommended to keep in touch with other players and the server status.

I ran into a bug, what do I do? We have a bug report channel in Discord, you can report it there. Sometimes bugs come from our custom plugins and sometimes they happen in the modpack itself. Either way, we will try our best to fix the issue!

Someone is building next to me. Claim your chunks first. Anything outside a claim is fair game for anyone, and staff cannot restore unclaimed builds.
